What did you all think of Yolanda Adams on the BET Awards singing Chaka Kahn songs?

I know a lot of folk had a problem with her performing secular music but it didn't bother me personally. She has a great voice and it was a chance to show off some more of her vocal range. Maybe it led to people who normally wouldn't listen to gospel music to go out and pick up a Yolanda Adams CD.

I was just surprised that she was performing secular music.  Hopefully, someone did go out and pick up a Yolanda Adams cd or for that matter, any gospel cd.  However, I still enjoy listening to her and watching her perform.

As long as the words of the song don't conflict with the Word of God, I have no problem with it.
I'm still working on the issue of some secular artists trying to do gospel songs while they're still doing those songs (and videos) that don't line up with the WORD. But maybe that's a whole other topic!!?Huh Undecided Undecided

I agree.  There are some gospel artists out there that are appearing in rap videos where the words are not lining up with the Word of God.

So sad.
