SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns -- Friday March 6, 2009:

You have heard it said that misery loves company, but I tell you to set a watch, for a trap has been set to draw you into the predicaments of others when you have no responsibility or desire to be involved. Speak or act only when I give you the unction to do so, says the Lord. And, beware of getting entangled in situations where you have no legitimate authority to take action. I will give you discernment to know the limits of your involvement, but you must choose to stay within the confines and safety of your own boundaries.

Psalms 62:12 Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; for You render to each one according to his work.

Galatians 6:7 -8 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Be still and listen, My children. Do you hear the clattering in the realm of the spirit? There is turmoil as the enemy is clamoring to re-gain his position and strongholds. This is because many of My warriors have run to the battle using the sword of the Spirit, My Word, to thwart his plans and defeat his purposes. Do not stop too soon in your efforts to route the devil. He is regrouping for another round of attacks. Watchmen, sound the alarm and stand at the ready. Turn back the battle at the gate, says the Lord.

Isaiah 28:5-6 In that day the LORD of hosts will be for a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the remnant of His people, for a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.

Beloved, persevere through your current dilemma or difficulty. It won't do for just any opportunity to present itself; it must be the right circumstance for this juncture that will be the impetus to bring positive change and lasting progress. I will go before you and open the way of breakthrough. Ask for wisdom and trust Me to open doors that no man can shut and to shut doors that no man can open, says the Lord. Be strong and resolute.

Isaiah 52:12 For you shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight; for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

Can you hear the sound of grass growing? (No, Lord.) Just as you cannot perceive the growth of vegetation in your environment, neither can you discern the spiritual growth of My children. I tell you truly that the growth is not only taking place, but it is rapid. I am raising up and bringing forth a people who are quickly becoming the Glorious Church. Rejoice in this exponential function, says the Lord.

Because you are in a transitional period, it is imperative that you neither live in the past by dwelling on past events or live in the future by focusing your attention on the days ahead. You must focus your attention on what you are facing at this moment. Ask for wisdom to understand and deal with your current position so that you can make the most of your life now. Living in disappointment, regret or fantasy is a waste of your time and vitality. Release yourself from all rejection, says the Lord. You will only be aware of My guidance and direction when you quiet your mind and emotions. Be still and know that I am God.

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns -- Monday March 23, 2009:
I say to you, My children, this is the hour of victory. You will either prepare for victory, or you will later struggle to obtain dominion. If you will now position yourselves by faith, then all that is necessary for victory will come to you. But, if you wait until the battle rages around you, it will be much harder to attain. Arise and receive! Allow the anointing to come to you that will bring deliverance and renew your spirit. I am calling to the watchmen to come and establish yourselves on the wall as a defense against every attack of the enemy. Watchmen, what of the night? Not only declare what you see in the darkness, but declare that the morning also comes with the glorious light of the Morning Star to lead, guide and show you the way. Again, I say, rise up. It is the hour of the warrior, for I have equipped you for this time so that you shall indeed run to the battle and turn back the battle at the gate, says the Lord.

I call to you to find a new level of appreciation for each of My children, who are chosen for the Kingdom and for such a time as this. When you find fault, it is because you see through the eyes of flesh and criticize the carnal nature. It is not so when you see with spiritual eyes. Rise up and find the place in the Spirit where your discernment is pure and holy, where you can perceive beyond the natural to see common purpose and destiny. Love one another as I have loved you, says the Lord.

Ephesians 4:1-6 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Take every opportunity to demonstrate the Kingdom whether in thought, prayer, word, or faith in action. You are My people. You are Zion, the City of God. You are My witnesses. You are the light of the world. Let your light shine and overtake all darkness. Be an eye witness and allow what you see and experience spiritually to be your declaration of truth and faith, says the Lord.

Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Woe to the people who call good evil and evil good. There is gross perversion in the land and deception at every turn. But you, My people, do not give yourselves to perversion and deception. Seek truth in every circumstance and stand for what is pure and undefiled. Raise the bar, set a standard, rise up to the next level of righteousness and integrity. You are a people called by My name, says the Lord. Live a life worthy of your calling.

Philippians 1:27-28 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel, and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

Exercise patience as you remain steadfast and faithful. What you thought was a breakthrough seems to have evaporated, but I tell you the truth that it is more important than ever that you persevere. You will be tested with temptations to be disappointed and become discouraged, but you must not give up. Keep pressing through, and know that I am with you to bring you forth in victory. This is not an easy time, but you must keep the faith and continue to move forward, says the Lord.

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

The enemy has launched an attack to distract you and cause you to be scattered in your thoughts and efforts so that you do not have the strength you need to accomplish what you have been given to do. Refuse to allow his seductions especially through infirmity, discouragement, worry or fear to weaken you or keep you from exercising your faith to overcome. Re-focus your energies, and regroup. Rise up in the power of the Spirit to resist and defeat the devil. You are more than a conqueror, says the Lord.

Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns -- Monday March 30, 2009:
You are children of light. You are to dwell in the light and let the light shine through you. Let it bring forth the purposes of My kingdom that will become a standard and a plumb line that will draw many into My house. Come with expectation, for I have never failed you. Establish yourself in this time with your heart's desire to see divine purpose and to live according to that which I show you. The knowledge and revelation of those things that pertain to this season will reveal your gifting, purposes, and destiny as well as the power and authority that I have placed upon you. Set a watch, for the enemy will speak things to you that will tempt you to back off from your commitment and calling. His words of accusation will attempt to convince you that you are not truly Mine and that you are not truly gifted. But, I say to you that My word has been declared, and My purposes are established and will continue to come forth. Only believe and receive My present work, says the Lord.

You have heard many prophetic words, words of knowledge and words of wisdom, and they have often strengthened you and given you direction and guidance. Yet, you must be on the alert to the possibility of becoming too familiar with these spiritual gifts and counting them as common and not divine. Guard your heart so that you receive wisdom, instruction, and understanding with thanksgiving to glorify your God in heaven, says the Lord.

Hebrews 10:29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

I heard the Lord say: I've got your back; just keeping moving forward. Be effective in your warfare by being aware when you are under attack, by knowing the nature of your enemy, and by exercising your authority to stop him. And, I was reminded of what Ulysses S. Grant said, "The art of war is simple enough. Find out where you enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving."

By My Spirit, I will cause you to examine and restate everything you believe. It is time for you to clearly know and understand what your faith consists of. It is important at this time for you to walk wholly and undeniably in truth. This process will bring spiritual elevation and stability, which will become the platform where you can stand in unwavering allegiance to My kingdom, says the Lord. And, it will require an examination of religious concepts and doctrinal positions in the light of My Word. Maintain an open and discerning spirit, and do not be afraid to make adjustments in your concepts.

Matthew 16:11- 12 How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread? --but to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees. Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Beloved, be done once and for all with double- mindedness and doubt. Speak My word with boldness, conviction, and faith. For, it will accomplish what it has been sent to do. Let the words of truth come forth in the power of My Spirit. No devil can withstand the power of anointed proclamation, says the Lord. Call aloud according to My will and purposes, and you will not be disappointed.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; Ii shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Stand on the truth of My Word without allowing religious concepts based on sentimentality to pervert its purity. If you are open and willing to see, hear and walk in the Spirit, I will reveal false concepts and establish you on a new level of spiritual actuality. This will, in turn, release you to demonstrate My kingdom in greater power, purpose, and freedom. Loose yourself from all that has brought confusion, and allow Me to bring clarity as I transport you out of darkness into the light of truth, says the Lord.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

Is it not written that I am the Light of the world? But, I am also the Light within you, and when the Light burns brightly in you, your spirit becomes a candle of the Lord. Out of your innermost being, out of the power of your spirit, will flow My anointed word that breaks the yoke of bondage, brings truth and revelation. These are the days of the revealing of the mysteries of this age. Arise, you who sleep, and dwell no more in complacency or darkness. Now redeem the time by coming into submission to My purposes at this time. I will show you the way, for My word is a lamp unto your feet, and I will bring you forth out of darkness. As you learn to walk in the Spirit and learn to speak by the Spirit, you will understand Kingdom purpose more fully, says the Lord.

I heard in the realm of the spirit a sound that reminded me of a clock, and I saw a pendulum moving back and forth marking time. And I felt a sense of urgency with the thought that time is marching on and time is short. In a vision I saw a perfect white horse, excited, pawing the air, ready to go. Then, I saw warriors worshiping the night before battle. Then, they arose and were being dressed in pure white battle attire and girded with swords. The warriors came together, resolute, one army of the Lord. I saw them silent, listening, watching, waiting -- awesome, righteous, strong, focused, prepared for battle. Then, the vision changed and I saw a pure-bred black Arabian horse, and again saw warriors the night before a battle, but these were celebrating, drunk, being entertained by belly dancers, and I believed that these warriors represented the powers of darkness, Satan's army. And, I was reminded of this scripture: 1 Kings 20:11 So the king of Israel answered and said, "Tell him, 'Let not the one who puts on his armor boast like the one who takes it off.'" Satan is destined for defeat!

Beloved, you are in the flow of destiny, and I am bringing you along the time line of purpose. Even though you catch a glimpse of course changes that await, you must stay mentally and emotionally in the present. Be steadfast and faithful by maintaining spiritual focus. Timing is everything, and it would be a mistake to try to force any issue to obtain the goal. Wait patiently for My leading and trust that I indeed go before you to clear the path and make a way, says the Lord.

Isaiah 43:2-3 I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.

I remind you that I am your very present help in times of trouble. I will lift you up above the waves of frustration and helplessness that have overwhelmed you, and I will bring you to Myself, says the Lord, and comfort you. Come into rest and be restored in My presence. I am your safe harbor in the storms of life. Come!

Be aware that your spiritual atmosphere is charged with restlessness and a desire for change, and I say to you that you are sensing changes that are on the horizon. But, it is not yet time for real, productive change to manifest in your lives. Wait for My timing and leading, for if you step out too soon to force a transformation it will be by the flesh and out of the flow of My Spirit, says the Lord. Use this current restlessness to draw close to Me and be elevated to a new place in the Spirit.

I am calling your forth to a new level of faith and a brand new experience, which shall be called "the dominion of the Lord." For, I shall establish My dominion in you and through you to be exercised over your circumstances and over all the places where I send you, where you work, and where you live. I am the Lord of Hosts, and all the earth is Mine, and I call you to also have dominion and to reign with Me spiritually. These are the days of preparation. Renew yourselves. Remove all anxiety, worry, doubt and unfaithfulness. Place yourself securely in My hand, and I will bring your forth into that which I have predestined for you. This is the Day of My power, and it is your heritage to walk in the fullness of it, says the Lord. So, rise up in a faith that will not be denied and will receive all that I have purposed.

What a strange spiritual atmosphere! As I walked and prayed I asked the Lord what was up, and this was His answer: You are in a defining moment. You are crossing a line of demarcation. The countdown has begun and is marked by this time of silence. You will soon realize that you are on a path of no return; what's done is done. New developments will suddenly burst upon the scene and create a rippling effect around the world. Things will never be the same, but you must not be afraid. I am with you, and as you seek My face and listen for My voice I will give you wisdom and direct your steps. Let go of petty issues, and refuse to be small-minded. Be done with things that are inconsequential.

Watch for defining moments that break forth on your spirit. Watch for them, for they shall come to you. There will also be vanishing points if you do not receive the turning points that I am giving in this season. If you choose not to seek after Me and listen to Me, the opportunities that I am giving you to arise and go forth will vanish, and your part in that will be lost. My people, rise up and hear and believe that this season will present many defining moments.

We, the people of the Lord, go through times of defining moments, and we believe we are in one of those times. Circumstances will bring opportunities to make quality decisions that determine and perhaps even change our destiny. Defining moments, are points in time when our choices have greater and more powerful consequences that shape our lives. These are times of discovery, when the light of revelation comes, and events change the course of our lives forever. It is important that we discern the will of God and move in the path that will be most beneficial to us in light of His purposes and our destiny. Times of definition will be present in areas of work, business, ministry, relationships, financial decisions, and plans for the future. Our choices are taking on unusual significance. We must consider our motives, and choose God every time - life, righteousness, truth, justice, peace, love, generosity. Trust God to show the way -- where to take the next step. Do not be moved by assumptions, pride and over-confidence, rather than by the Spirit of the Lord.

Philippians 4: 6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Psalms 19:13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.

In a vision I saw what looked like someone fast- forwarding through a video tape. And, the Lord said, you will no longer maintain status quo by trying to preserve your existing state of affairs. You are on a fast track that will move you forward quickly, for I am positioning you to fulfill your kingdom destiny more completely than you could have imagined. Yield to the flow of My Spirit so that divine order can be accomplished in your life and circumstances. Be aware that the enemy of your soul will do what he can to instill a sense of fear to keep you from progressing, but you must not allow anxiety to hinder your potential in this momentous time, says the Lord.

I will give you wisdom and direction that will release you from restrictions that have been difficult to cope with. Confining circumstances will give way to defining moments as you move with the wind of My Spirit. Changes will develop that will bring a sense of release and freedom, says the Lord.

John 3:8 "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

My people, if you can rise above your circumstances and the worldly things that demand your time and attention; if you can be quiet and seek My face; if you will listen for My still, small voice, I will impart to you greater revelation of My kingdom, My purposes, and that which is before you. I am now calling you to a time of clarity in what you see and hear. But, you must come into the realm of the Spirit and refuse to allow your fleshly desires to pervert the purity of what I am about to impart. This place of holiness will require sanctification and consecration. You must give yourselves wholly to Me, says the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:4 ... each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor.

Believe, My little ones. I speak of you as little as in childlike faith, but not little in power and not little in anointing; only little in your own eyes that you may be large in My kingdom and that you may become exactly what I have called you to be. I tell you that it is My good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Do you not know that within My kingdom I prosper My people and heal them and deliver them? I will bring you into the fullness of that which has been spoken of and written even in the holy scriptures. Today, I speak into your ears that if you will now step into the new season in faith, you will come forth in power. You have walked through the fires and have been tried by the fire. Now you can step over the threshold, beloved, for you are entering a new season of glory and of My manifest presence, says the Lord. Surely, I will come and do this work, and will touch you and will speak a word and lead you and guide you into all of that I have purposed for you.

I saw in a vision a village of people, each of whom had a plot of ground. It was springtime and the people were carrying their bags of seed to plant. Everyone knew what they were going to plant to receive the harvest they desired or needed. Each bag was unique with different seeds. They were going out with joy to plant in expectation of the end result of their labor. It was going to be hard work to sow, but not one of them went out to plant with an attitude that they were wasting their time or seeds. They didn't believe that the seeds would lay dormant in the ground or die. They planted with anticipation of a great harvest. And, I heard the Lord say: You are also in a time of sowing in the realm of the spirit. Be wise in preparing the ground of your heart, and plant by faith according to the leading of My Spirit. The seeds that you sow now will produce a harvest by the Feast of Trumpets.

Isaiah 55:12 You shall go out with joy and be led forth in peace, the mountains and the hills will burst into song before you.
