Hey Ya'll

Just thought of this one & I think it will make for some real good prachin' ... Amen?

Ok ... here it go:

Diary Of A Mad Black Woman

The "Text" would be from:  Job 2:9; 19:17; 31:1O
Ya'll know the story ... Amen?

Job's wife has been called everything from the "adjutant of the devil" to the "faithful attendant upon her husband's misery". We came to know her after Job, one of the richest and greatest men of his time, had lost all of his cattle, flocks, camels, and all his children ... AND ... he was suffering from disease (leprosy).

As he sat outside the city walls, Job still did not blame God ... BUT ... his wife, probably not so faithful and certainly not so patient, cried out, "Dost thou still retain thine integrity! Curse God, and die" (Job 2:9). No doubt Job's wife regarded a quick death as better than long-drawn-out suffering. In those days sudden death was supposed to result from cursing God.

Now, we women know how to bless & we sho' nuff know how to curse & cuss' (HELP LAWD!!!) ... but have we EVER stopped to think about or link the sin that often comes from our     to our current circumstance

Hmmmmm ... I'll stop there 'cause ... whaaal ... I could be preachin' to myself

Love ya'll,

Hey Ya'll ... Got another one for ya' ... let me know what ya' think ... Amen?

                                        Salt … Anyone???

Text: Genesis 19
(Sodom, Gomorrah, Lot & his wifey)

Now ...we what happened to Lot's wife when she wanted to be "worldly" and go back to Sodom.  Yes, she turned into a "pillar of salt".  That was God's reward to her for her worldliness and wicked disobedience.  Strangely, most so-called Christian women (and men) today have little fear of repeating the same error that Lot's wife committed: the sin of being worldly minded.

The reason that Lot's wife turned back to Sodom, was that she was a lost woman, and saw only the material -- only the hear-and-now.  Her mind was not on God, her sinfulness, or on the things of Eternity.  She therefore was not afraid of God, because God was not in her thoughts.  It was the physical, the sensual, the emotional pleasures of this world that she was after.  She wanted sin, not God.

Church … this story could apply to our men as well as our women.  How many of us have been fooled by the “enemy of our souls” into earnestly believing & following our thoughtless desires?  We see it … we like it … we do it …  We suffer … we pity-party … & then we harden our hearts to our Creator – blaming HIM for forsaking us!  We stop worshipping HIM & inside we become bitter, brittle & battered – leaving invaluable pieces of ourselves here & there.

OH ... But Beloved, during our bitterness, we have Savior – a Potter … who SPECIALIZES in what it is that we cannot see & HE will gather together even the dust-like, microscopic brittle & battered  piece of our lives, purify them & give them back to us in the form of a TESTIMONY!  So that when we TELL-IT, HIS Power – HIS Beauty will not only shower onto others, it will shower onto us & this will give a new purpose to that "ole’ worthless pillar of salt"!  Because HE will have changed us inwardly (for the better) … representing HIM as the “salt of the earth"!!!

Salt … Anyone???

Dont mind if I do.

I really like several things that you stated here....Her mind was not on God, her sinfulness, or on the things of Eternity.  She therefore was not afraid of God, because God was not in her thoughts.  It was the physical, the sensual, the emotional pleasures of this world that she was after.

This is so true....and if you are not careful you will find yourself in situation like this and not realize that you have went so far with your own thoughts. AMEN!!

ALSO.....
OH ... But Beloved, during our bitterness, we have Savior – a Potter … who SPECIALIZES in what it is that we cannot see & HE will gather together even the dust-like, microscopic brittle & battered  piece of our lives, purify them & give them back to us in the form of a TESTIMONY!

This is a gift beyond repayment....I for one am happy about it!!!

Hello DeeGee Kiss

I thank GOD for your encouragement my sister!!!  When I read your response my spirit JUMPED with excitement ... kinda' like Elizabeth's (John's mother), when she was pregnant with John & Mary came to visit her ... Amen?  Hey, that brings to mind another little sermonete called:

“Da’ Holy Ghost ul’ make ya’ … JUMP – JUMP!!!

Text: Luke 1: 11-80
(When even your own physical body denies you – GOD can STILL say YES!!! … Just ask Ms. Lizzy!!!)

So many times we tend to look over, past & through our “seasoned seniors saints” AND our “physically challenged saints” too … Amen? But TRUST … GOD ain’t finished with them yet … Woops!!!  I’ll save the depth of it for the new thread … Amen?

My sister, I would be soooooo blessed & honored if you'd create a separate thread for sermonetes ... I got lots of um'!!!

Holy Smooches,

My Precious Sista' DeeGee, Kiss

Thank Ya' much & I think your soooooo right!!!  GOD truly does work mysteriously doesn't HE?  And your faithful obedience to HIM has again touched my heart ... soooo ... I'd like to thank you for hearing our FATHER in Heaven so clearly, by dedicating this sermonete to you & all who trust GOD enough to step out their faith & do something different & new!  No, you may not be a preacher ... BUT ... you DO have a light within, that can enlighten (teach maybe, or encourage) the light in others!!!  A flower from heaven … to you!

Hope it blesses Kiss

How Beautiful Are The Feet

Church,

Among us, there are men and women that have been called, chosen, anointed and sent to soothe the eternal-spirit that dwells in every human being.

These GOD’s chosen, do their work at the behest of HIM that hath sent them. HE whom we call BEAUTIFUL, has ordered their feet chaud with the preparation of the Gospel of peace … and they go … as they are sent.

These Chosen vessels endure grave trials … and they smile. Depression glooms over them at times – as if it has always been there – never to leave them. Some fall, some faint from their pressures, and it is during those times that “the minister, needs ministering to AND confirmation of the COMFORTER’s wisdom.

Enter the Church!

Very seldom do them who are sooooooo accustomed to receiving / taking from the pulpit on the pew-side of the sanctuary, ever consider the tender almost frail state of brokenness of them who stand before their masses to deliver what thus saith the LORD.  Why should they??? For what they (the congregation) inevitably behold each Sunday morning & perhaps during the week, could be described as no less than stellar-life-giving-manna!!!

Life-Giving-Manna … The PREACHED WORD OF GOD!!!

Beloved, have we ever asked the LORD, where our responsibility begins and or ends with reference to the care of them who have been chosen to deliver – to Preach the Word of GOD?  Have we ever thought about what it takes to untie their blessed hands, and unshackle their “Beautiful Feet”? A card of encouragement, unspoken words to them - when we are heated with anger towards them, a little talk with JESUS … BEFORE … we do ANYTHING that we know would harm them … perhaps?

Yes, how do we honor GOD’s WORD as "IT" speaks:

Romans 10
 (The Message)

11-13Scripture reassures us, "No one who trusts God like this—heart and soul—will ever regret it." It's exactly the same no matter what a person's religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. "Everyone who calls, 'Help, God!' gets help."

14-17But how can people call for help if they don't know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven't heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? That's why Scripture exclaims,

(King James Version)

How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

*************

Simply an encouragement for them who have been chosen, made the choice to hear and have risen to a divine calling ... we love you and pray your strength!

For as our supremely anointed brother Donald Lawrence most poignantly penned:

YOU ... have … beautiful feet.

Amen!!

Thru-HIM, you dedicated this sermonette to me, becuase it is about me and so many others. You wrote this in 2006? Hmm. If I had of read it then, I would have never understood it. God has just impressed me! And he know what I mean and why I say that. I am shocked at how many avenues the Lord is dealing with me on and talking to me on.      (which I wanted to state-If someone is having trouble hearing from the Lord because you can not tell his voice from your own or you may think the evil one is speaking pray for clarity and come out of disagreement with confusion-STOP SAYING IM CONFUSSED!-)

Thank you for letting me know that my endure grave trials and depression, was part of God molding me. It makes those burden even easier to let go. Because I love God that much that I will suffer, because I know that he will bring me out.

(((HUGS))) I love you  Kiss
