God's Gift to You

I was thinking, with AGL growing the way it is, there has got to be many gifts and talents, among us.

If you dont mind, share what your gifts and or talents may be.

Romans 12
 4 Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
5 so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.
7 If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach;
8 if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.

I don't wanna go first, but okay, here are mine....
Worship dance, drawing, crocheting(mostly baby blankets...the ripple style), diaper cakes, cooking/baking, wedding decor'...i.e the bridal/bridesmaids bouquets, corsages, boutenierres...all of it. I also do wedding invitations/program, tithe envelopes, souvenir booklets, church programs, Bible bookmarkers....and all that other stuff.
God definately blessed me with the gift of writing poetry, which I have submitted about 25 to the Library of Congress this past Feb, takes 8mths from the time they receive it to get the entire process done, so.....eventually, I'm looking fwd 2 writing a little book of inspirationals.
I don't think doing hair...or always operating on somebody's computer counts tho...being able to open up a hard drive and manuver stuff around inside is scary!
That's enough of my boredom.

My gift that god gave me was working with children, directing the choir and I have been told that I am anointed by sereval preachers.  I am kinda afraid of this because I am going to wait until he tell me wwhat else I need to do.  I have a praise team at the school  I work with.  I don't know what else that GOD"S has for me.  But like the song says "What GOD has for me it is for me and what GOD has for you it is for you.  Thank you Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well you all know mine but if you don't, I play the organ/keyboard.  I have been told that I am a really good listener and give good advice.  To say i don't have any kids, they can't seem to get enough of me, I never did understand that one so if anyone knows why that may be, please share. lol

I believe I have many many gifts and talents. I have some gifts that I was never taught to do and I can just do them like braid hair...my momma cant braid as a lil girl she always twisted my hair..I just told my grandmother, who is a beautican, that I really felt like I could braid my hair. She was like you can..just do it.and somehow..I braided my whole head in mirco's..I DID. Also singing, God is developing my singing voice, I can tell a huge diffrence when I sing..never could sing strong and loud clear & on key all at once before  . Also my smile  and my hugs ((HUGS)) are gifts. Sometimes at church durning the alter call..Im drawn just to hug ppl..you know not really say anything...just hug em. Sympathy and Understanding they didnt come easy for me to feel, but I do. Teaching, I know that God gave me the gift to be a teacher, not only in church but in schools, to work with children..children of all ages...sometimes I can look at a newborn and I feel like I can connect with them and I know its something spritual...I just dont what yet, which goes into my prophetic gift which is a newborn baby, if you know what I mean and Discernment.

Talents...admin skills, customer service skills, blogging!! LOL

Another one of my gifts is encouraging. I find myself always attempting to encourage others...letting them know that they can and will make it...by giving them examples of my own life. I also encourage ppl to be their best despite their situations....By once again using my own life as an example. I have encouraged people that are smart, more talented and have way more money...that's how I know its a gift. I can related to anyone from the stockbroker to the drug dealer.

Found out something interesting on my journey tho' ... When we walk in our anointing (as in us being good stewards over GOD's investments in us), HE will increase our "earthen rewards" by opening our eyes to even more of HIS gifts that may be asleep within.  Where there was only one "seen" gift, if we trust HIM enough to walk in that, GOD will awaken other gifts inside of us!

Has anyone ever noticed this?

Yes I did notice it. I am noticing it,I should say...but it's always surprising to find out, you have a gift to do something you like doing anyway..God just enhances it 100,000 times  Thats kool...cuz he knows I will get bored with something once I have master it..so I have to stay on my toes.

my gift from god is that me and my son perform together at church.  i am so glad that he is answering my prayers. this is my aby that i knowngod is got sometjhing special for him to do.  i had him at 7 months and he weighed 3 pounds. the nurse told me that he was not breathing when he came into this world.  they was ready to pronounce him dead and glory be to god he started to cry and his lungs was not even developed.  now he is 14 years old, 6 feets and 2 inches tall and wears size of 13 shoes.  tell me that not a gift from god.

In terms of spiritual gifts that Paul refers to in ICor 12, God has given the gift of teaching.  It is something that I did not choose as a career, I fought it.  The message was given to me by Dad when I was 9. He specifically said he I needed to be a teacher, I can still hear him saying to me when you finish high school, you to college and you are not finished until you get that doctorate degree.  Proverbs 16:9, Man plans...but God direct the steps.  Before we were form in the wound God knew us...Awesome.  What good is that gift he we fail to use it. When we do what has for us, then we have success beyond measures.  He has been speaking to through you, my children, my church family, my passion for training leaders that I am going to be successful beyond measures.  I tear up just thinking about it.  Tears of Joy and some regret that I didn't listen. But I have had many toils and snare that has shaped me, made me strong...truly all has come together for the goo. Ro 8:28. God has given me this calm spirit, love for life and people, nuturing spirit that allows me to desire to reach out to minister to others.  My greatest joy comes when I am in front of others teaching and learning from them.  I teach Leadership in the University. I have a deep passion for that subject, and there is a need for Christian Leadership( Men and Women).  Each of us are called to be leaders in some aspect of life...There are those called by God to a Lead his People.  My goal is to reach out more in the ministry through my books, (love to write) there is story behind why I haven't done that too.  It is my time to Shine for God. If you need someone to teach leadership, speak on leadership...just share God's word...you can call on me.

I would like to say this,  I posted something this morming about how someone told me that i am going to minister to women and for some reason  this person spirit was upon me this morning.  The reason why is that her father past away thismorning and I did not even know.  She call me at work and insisted that she talk to me. and she was crying and she said she had to talk to me first.  I told her about what i posted about her.  It is in the  prospective husband thread.  So pray for this family because her brother is a pastor and he was the one that broke the yoke for me to go higher in the LORD.

My personality isn't one that attracts everybody but I've noticed that people will come up to me and begin talking about problems and issues their dealing with.The conversations all would end with something to the effect of I've never shared this with any one or I don't know why I've spilled all my dirty laundry to you.Like I said earlier I didn't understand why people would just out the blue share parts of their life with me.The ironic thing was I've dealt with the same issues that the were sharing and was able to encourage them.My pastor said "what you go through in life isn't for you it's to help someone else get through" So my GIFT from GOD is the gift of ENCOURAGING the spirit and nourisher of the physical body.

At the present I'm a LPN Im back in school to become a RN.My current job is in the geriatric field(Elderly) and it helps me to stay humble and appreciative.I have a couple of young people (early 40's)that are resident's here.Caring for them allows me to see how God has protected me and shield me through the years.Those days when I'm down and I have to give them water makes me grateful ,it could have been me.I pray nightly that I will be a reflection of God and display  love and compassion to them.

Well, i would like to say this to you, trouble don't last always and we may endure for a night but joy come in the morning.  the reason why i am saying this to you is because you stated that you are a lpn for now, but the people  and patients that you talk to is having trouble and they cannot wait until you come in for your shift because the joy comes in the morning and your are the joy for them.  the water that you give them is the water that is almost like been baptisted in the water.  you go down as a sinner and ou comes up as a new creature in life.  you have wash all of you sins away.  so you have touched the water and they drinks the water so to me it is been dipped to come up hipped(H)EAVEN (I)S (P)RESENT (P)LEASE (E)NJOY (D)AILY!!!!!!!

Nursie35 as the other sister have expressed, I want to add your gift is something from God that comes natural to you...something you enjoy and brings enjoyment to you.  As  your other post states you being in the right place at the right moment with a lot of those who are sick, you spirit, kind words is a healing of the soul.  Oh how I appreciated the Nurses who cared for my mother in her last days here on the earth, she was comfortable and made whole as a servant of God.  God is gift isn't something we have to look outside ourselves, it is within us, within reach...often we say we don't have the right stuff, but when God says you will...you do and all is well for you and those who listen to you.  I think of Moses, Jeremiah, just name a couple who thought they were inadequate...what did he tell Jeremiah, I formed you before you were born.  In your ministry look for opportunities to witness, help someone find salvation in Christ.  You have the priviledge be in someone life what many consider their low points.  Bless you and all that you do for those in your care
