Gosh! I got one point against the rules. I have in time past(not so long ago) posted
two back to back. I apologized for that though! You remember cuz, you said I'll just
deduct one from your posts, then you said I was just kidding!

But, I've never posted lyrics in General Discussion and I've always posted (3) or more words.
I probably won't be the first to the  ____th post anyway!

I know that I haven't been listening to the news lately, but have Juanita Bynum gotten out of the hospital yet?

Yes, she is out of the hospital staying at an undisclosed location.   I have a girlfriend who lives in Waycross, GA  she says it is rumored she in her home there.

From what I've heard in the media she is out. Reports are that she actually came down to the ATL police station on Thursday to take out charges on her husband.

What a shame.

That is why we must constantly watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41

I agree we must watch and pray , because the flesh is weak, however any man who hits a woman  is a  COWARD. There s no excuse for it.

I totally agree.  Being the mother of 2 daughters and many nieces, I always advise their significant others to remember------that you have a mother and other women in your lives who are important, how would they feel if you found out they were being abused.  If your anger is so great that you feel you must strike something, find a tree or a brick wall.  See how you feel after you strike that.  Sorry for being so wordy----but abuse of any kind bothers me!

On top of all of this mess with Evangelist Bynum, her husband, the bishop has written a book on relationships.  I think he should have consulted his book.

I also agree that NO MATTER how bad your problems are...a MAN shouldn't hit a woman or vise versa. My thing is that even though God forgives and has instructed us to do the same, there is also accountability. As responsible adults you must admit to your wrongdoings. I'm not saying his church should've turned his back on him but for him to be in the pulpit last sunday (didn't preach) and say the "devil made him do it" and then ask them to support his defense fund was a little to much to me. He should think how would he feel if that happened to his mother, sisters, aunts, etc. Makes me wonder if this was a couple in his church under his guidence, what he would tell them?

Did you all see Vicky Winans "The Rainbow" video in which the man beat and threw his wife out of the house.  The man's son saw that and started beating his little sister because of what he saw his father doing.

Violence is never the answer.

Yes, I saw that video.   Violence is not the answer, but what do we as a society do to stop it. Especially when the  secular  songs writers and sings are showing it in there videos, calling our girls b&&&&& and h))). Then wehn it shows up in our gospel music where  does it leave us.

No problem, it's a fun simple contest. You know how when stores have grand openings and they give the 10,000th customer a special prize or something, well this is the same way- the member who posts the ****th reply in this thread will win a Amazon.com gift certificate. It's just a way to encourage fellowship, interaction, and make it fun.

<<----plays drums, but havent played them consistently for over 7 yearrs

the church i attend has a drum player,he's pretty good, and the other drum player is pretty nice too.but if i were to actually play for maybe,4 sundays str8,and rehearsals,im almost positive i'll play as good as them both, especially when it comes down to shout music,i'll play better.but i dont worry about that cause god led me to sing in the choir, and thats where im gonna be.

my mom plays the organ/keyboard(basically anythin with some keys on it) and as far as females, she;s the best that i've EVER heard.she's traveled and played over the US,and everybody knows her in dade county(miami,fl).

my whole family is musically talented....

i have a cousin who plays the bass guitar, and he plays with ppl,he is always on the road.i think right now he is with fred hammond, and he juss did some work on a steven hurd cd

his mom sings with patrick lundy and the ministers of music

my uncle sang back up wiht commisioned, and had a group

my g-ma also plays the organ

god blessed my family with a talent for music

naw, cause my aunt who sings with patrick lundy, she kinda thninks she;s better than everyone else.i mean,i have no issues with her,but having a convo with her will make you wanna karate kick her very hard.she trys to out do you

(me):hey auntie,how are you?
(aunt):im fine,how are you?
(me):hey,im good,i juss got word we gonna record with kirk frankin
(auntie): oh,well kenny(her son) juss finished recording with president bush, and im going to the moon soon, and my two year old song juss got accepted into college.

lol,i mean, not in those words, but basically she'll never be glad for you,but instead throw what you juss said out, then tell you what she has going on in her life.

and besides, somethin like that would have had to happen along time ago, when all the sisters werer younger.im sure none of them(my mom and her sisters)can hit the same notes they could hit when they were 30

But those are the people you have to love an pray for constantly.  The same as when Jesus is on the cross he says "Father forgive them for they no not what they are doing".

People like that and we all know one or, two or three just need prayer.

That's the key word, you have to continue to love them and continue to treat them right.
