Are you giving up something in observance of Lent? I know Lent is customarily a Catholic observance but I think it's an overall good way for all to exhibit self control and sacrifice in recognition of Christ's sacrifice for us. So from now until Easter I will give up red meat, which will be very difficult for me because I love hamburgers and  steak- me and Longhorns are best friends. What are you giving up??

I have given up bread & sweets.  The two things I feel I should have with every meal.  Pray my strength as I pray yours. Grin

Bless you! I had my first big test yesterday when I went to lunch at Steak N Ale of all places.. It was hard but I stayed away from the steak and ordered a chicken caesar salad, which turned out to be pretty good.

I will be giving up:

TWIZZLERS
Pray for me.  I know that it will be an uphill battle.  It seems as though, I am addicted to them.   Grin

I can't eat just one.  I have to eat the whole bag.   Grin

mmmm cheesebread... Wow great willpower! Giving up breads is hard enough, but giving up sweets and breads is even more difficult- but I know through Christ we can do anything!   I think I missed up when I had a hot dog yesterday- I didn't even think about it until I was half way through.  Sad
