R U in the choir?  I usually sing alto.  Every now and then, I sing tenor.  However, there is 1 song that I can sing soprano.  (Strong Determination).

What do you sing?

I sing alto in the choir but for some reason when we sing "Giants" by Donald Lawrence  I get moved to the sopranos, but that just gives me more room to shout my giants down lol Grin

I'm down with the git in where u fit in crowd.  Mostly alto though.  But there certain songs that bring that soprano out of me  ex: Order my Steps by GMWA.  You can't tell me I can't sing with the lead (in the car -----in the shower etc.....)

What r some of the songs that your choir sings?  I would like to introduce new songs to our adult choir.  One of the songs that I am going to introduce to our adult choir is "Yes" by Shekinah Glory Ministry.  During "Praise and Worship Service" on Sunday the Lord just led my hands to start playing that song.  B 4 I knew it, the Annointing of God was just flowing and flowing.  The next thing that I knew, the whole church broke out into that song.  That is a powerful song.

Wow, let me stop b 4 I start something.   Glooooory!!!

We sing "God is an Awesome God", I am God, Testimony (which I lead) My Soul got another dip, How Excellent, I've been running for Jesus. Just to name a few. But we don't have many leads, myself and my daughter and her God mother are really the only leads, and sometimes you don't always want to be up front. So I've been looking for songs with no leads. That song "Yes" is an anointing song my God! To say yes to the Lord is to surrender all. It's ok to get something started I will do a victory lap right up in this job and remind them who I serve!  Cheesy

I am also the choir director at church.  Boy, some days I have such a time with my leaders.  I give them the "look" and I can get them to sing.  Shocked  I always tell them "use it or lose it".  There is an anointing in music and when you are blessed with the "gift"----you never know who you are going to bless.  But to get back to the topic-----what I have been doing is checking out a lot of mass choir cd's such as Dallas-Fort Worth Mass, New Jersey Mass, Brooklyn Tablernacle, Chicago Mass, GMWA, and of course Georgia Mass, just to name some.  If you listen to some of their cd's you can find songs with no leads.  They may not be the "hit" from that particular cd, but just as powerful.  I also have been going back to some of the "ol skool" gospel like Oh Happy Day, You must come in at the door, Glory Glory Hallelujah etc.

Yes i'm in the choir. I sing alto and sometimes tenor. I do alot of lead also. I never know what key i'm gonna be in when I lead. Today I lead "It's only a test" that was in a comforable range for me . But we also sang "He is worthy" and " In My Name" that song we had one of our youth lead and she did a wonderful job.

Yes, I am most definitely in a choir.  I am the assistant to the Min of Music and the choir directress.  I'm also on the praise and worship team where the Lord has planted me.  I usually fill in where needed, but my voice part is contralto.

Yes, I've been in the choir practically since I learned to talk (lol)! I am currently directress of my local and district youth choirs and I sing on the young adult choir as a soprano usually, but I can sing alto when needed. I also sing on my district mass choir and I sing on my college gospel choir as well. I also directed my gospel choir in high school. As the Winans said, "Everything I touch is a song..."

In my church we have a different choir for each Sunday.  I am in the Gospel Choir, I serve as president.  I am a soprano and I lead various songs.  I don't remember a time in my life when I wasn't singing something, but singing praises to God is something that I will do until He calls me home and then I'll sing with the Angels when I get there.  A couple of months agao I heard "I Pray we all be ready" by the Chicago Mass Choir.  I pray to bless the church with this song on the 2nd Sunday when our choir sings.  When I heard it, tears began to fall because we as Christians know He is coming back.  No one is exempt from being "called" so please, please "be ready!"

I have been singing in a family quartet since I was about fourteen, and now I am one third of our worship team. We no longer do quartets, because my sister died; but  I enjoy solo work most of all, though.

Hello everyone how doing today well my name is Kelley I am Amber's sister but I am using her name but anyways Iam not a singer but I write poetry and the only time I sing is in the choir and in the shower or just when I am alone. I try not to do no solos because I can't hardly hold a tune but the bible says, "make a joyfull niose unto the Lord" so I try my best to do so. BUt the Lord has giving me a talent in poetry to inspire people and also myself. Well you all can write back to Ambers and hopefull she'll give it to me.

Hi Kelley:

You can set up your own account.  Just go to www.allgospellyrics.com and then click on Message Board/Forum on the left hand side of the page.  Once you are on the www.allgospellyrics.com page, look for the link that says, register.

Oh, and by the way, do you know that you can turn your poetry into gospel songs and get paid?
