Yes, I sing in the choir and I love it! I sing in our youth and young adult and mass choirs and i love just going to church and putting on that choir robe. Its like i can feel God's presence everytime I put it on. I sing soprano and I am 1 of only 2 adults in the section so I sing with a bunch of children every sunday!  I sing 3 out of 4 or 4 out of 5 sundays and I wouldn't have it any other way. I only sing in church, but i have yet to find the courage to lead a song. My mom has sang in the church since she was old enough to speak and she's ready to pass down the torch and since i'm the oldest, i guess its my turn.

I sing Alto also, although I can sing 2nd soprano and tenor as well.  I love to sing praises to God and I consider it a priviledge to stand before his people and proclaim his word through song.  It's a joy.  My choir sings every Sunday at both services and we rehearse every week.  I also sing with a smaller independent group, so as you probably can tell, I love to sing.

Hello all, I am a little late but better late than never...lol  My name is Aric and I am actually the Minister of music for 2 churches, so I guess you can say I sing in the choir, I am the musician director etc.  I don't have a solo voice but I can hold a note about 95% of the time...lol

YES, I am in the choir.  the last post tha ti put i was not, but now i am singing. but most of the times I am directing .  we have 3 choirs, youth choir, adult choir and we also have a mass choir.  I direct the adult and the mass choir.  I am so glad I step down because at the time my hands was dirty but now they are almost clean, because I am not perfect.

I use to sing in the adult choir.  I stopped singing to start back focusing on my music.  Sometimes, I will sing with them.  As far as singing solo, I try my best not to sing solo anymore.  I am very very very shy.  I pretty much am a backup singer.

I have a wide vocal range...I can sing tenor, alto and soprano and of course on occassions I had to do so.  I have always sung in the alto section... I sing lead Because of Who Are, Let us Praise Him, How Great thou Art in soprano. I consider myself an Alto, but my music teacher called me a lazy soprano... I love the choir...it is a wonderful ministry

LOL...just start buying her alot of Ricky Dillard CD's!!! LOL maybe she will get the HINT.
Another factor that really pays a factor in the type of songs choirs sing is the age of the choir members...sometimes older members dont like and dont wanna learn any new songs...they think its too contempary.
